Parking

All parking on campus is paid parking seven days-per-week. “R” lot is closest to the Aquaplex and "T" lot is directly across the street. Permits purchased from the "R" lot kiosk are also valid in "T" lot. Hourly metered parking is also available in Structure 5 on the corner of 55th St. and Montezuma Rd. When parking in Structure 5, park on the lower level northwest corner after obtaining a permit from a yellow kiosk. Walk northwest across athletic fields to the Aquaplex. Semester parking permits are available for purchase from the SDSU cashier’s office.

Aquaplex Directions

The Aquaplex is located next to the Tony Gwynn baseball stadium adjacent to the tennis and softball facilities on the west side of the San Diego State University Campus. The facility is accessible from Remington Road "R" Lot.

SDSU will be renovating the turf playing field
(PG 620 field) adjacent to the baseball stadium and the Aztec Aquaplex from mid-June to mid-August. Therefore, pedestrian walking access from the ARC to the Aztec Aquaplex will be limited while the field work is being completed. During the closure, the alternate route will be to walk north on 55th street past the Peterson Gym, Public Safety building and Tony Gwynn baseball stadium until you reach R Lot. As always, there will be convenient (metered) parking in the lot adjacent to the Aquaplex for customers. We realize this is an inconvenience to our regular Aquaplex users and thank you in advance for your understanding as we work to improve facilities at SDSU. See map below for walking directions.

From the 8 Westbound
Exit 8 at College. Right on Montezuma Road. Right on 55th Street. Pass the Aztec Recreation Center (on the right) and follow the leftward curve of 55th street; it turns into Remington Road. Turn left into "R" lot which is just past Tony Gwynn Stadium.
From the 15 or 805
take the 8 Eastbound and follow directions below.
From the 8 Eastbound
8 East exit at Fairmont /Mission Gorge. Stay in the two right lanes. Follow the signs for Montezuma Road and travel up the hill about 2 miles. As you reach the crest of the mesa, you'll take a left on 55th Street. Pass the Aztec Recreation Center (on the right) and follow the leftward curve of 55th street; it turns into Remington Road. Turn left into "R" lot which is just past Tony Gwynn Stadium.
